Member Benefits

How do I Join the American Marketing Association
Madison Chapter?

What types of memberships are available?
The AMA offers two different memberships: individual and group.

Individual Membership
For single individuals, or organizations looking to enroll 1-3 employees as members, the Individual membership applies. An individual membership consists of membership to both the national chapter as well as a local chapter of your choosing. Both memberships are required. Dues are paid to the AMA national headquarters on an annual basis.

2009-2010 Annual Individual Membership Dues

National

$225.00

Local Madison Chapter

$ 50.00

TOTAL

$275.00

Group Membership
For organizations with 4 or more employees (defined as people who receive a paycheck from the same employer, regardless of their physical location) who are or are interested in becoming members of the AMA, Group Membership provides a discounted rate structure. One, single dues rate applies, which covers both the national and local chapter membership.

2009-2010 Annual Group Membership Dues

Group Size

4-9 Members

10+ Members

Dues Per Member

$208

$184

Each company should assign one main contact who manages the relationship between their organization and the AMA, completes the group application and submits the annual membership dues.

If an organization already has 1-3 members currently paying the Individual Membership Dues, it may add members to take advantage of the member discount. All members of the group must have the same membership expiration date. Therefore, existing memberships are changed to correspond to the new group expiration date, and their membership dues are pro-rated accordingly.

Please note that all memberships – whether individual or group – are on behalf of the individual. Memberships may not be transferred to other individuals from the same organization for the purpose of events, etc. If an employee leaves an organization, that company may terminate their membership, and submit a new application on behalf of another employee.
