The marketing world is moving rapidly toward digital center faster than most marketers' ability to learn, adapt and apply the latest techniques. Conventional marketers and agencies trapped in conventional marketing models are no longer producing the same results that they were even a few years ago. Forward-thinking marketers have begun to shift their thinking from the traditional environment to the digital-centered multichannel environment.

In Intro to Digital-Centered Marketing, we explore the changing landscape of marketing that's no longer about exposure but rather engagement in digital relationships through digital media founded on the intelligent use of digital data and CRM.

Digital-centered marketing is about three key things: data, content and relationships.

  1. Developing real human relationships in digital form
  2. Create a rich data-driven digital digital-centered analytical marketing environment
  3. Digital centered content that follows a 10-to-1 model where every piece of content serves not just one channels but up to 10, thereby increasing relevance and ROI.

Dana VanDen Heuvel is the founder of the marketing consulting firm, The MarketingSavant Group. An award-winning marketing blogger, Dana is also theauthor of the American Marketing Association's "Marketech Guide to MarketingTechnology," their "Guide to Social Network Marketing," and the creator ofAMA's TechnoMarketing training series, Advanced Social Media training series and B2B Social Media training series.
